Game 1:

In game one, it was Maeson Schlaud on the mound for the Crusaders in a pitchers duel throughout a majority of game one. The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the sixth when the Crusaders would break the 0-0 tie. The inning would start off with two walks to Bailey Martin and Emily Biggott which would set up junior Emma Mossing to lay down a sacrifice bunt to put runners on second and third with one out. That would lead to a Ella Thomas single into left field that would clear the bases and put the Crusaders up 2-0 heading into the top of the 7th. Roosevelt would score in the top of the 7th to make it a 2-2 ball game heading into the bottom of the 7th with a walk off opportunity available for the Crusaders. Regan Finkbeiner would lead things off for the Crusaders with a lead off single up the middle. Then with one out in the inning, Jessica Dunkel would single to the left side to put runners on first and second with one out. But the Crusaders were unable to get the runs across and the game would head to extra innings. Roosevelt would score three runs in the top of the eighth to take a 5-2 lead as the Crusaders headed up to bat.
