LIVONIA, Mich. - On Saturday afternoon the Madonna women's soccer team (9-7-2, 6-4-1 WHAC) tied 0-0 vs Lawrence Tech (10-4-3, 7-3-1 WHAC). 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders and Blue Devils faced off in a back and forth matchup and in the first half each team had plenty of opportunities to put a goal on the board but stellar defensive play from each teams back lines did not allow for many shooting windows and a lot of shots were blocked before even making it to the keepers.
In the second half the Crusaders held much more of the possession as they led in second half shots 9-1 but still were unable to find the back of the net which resulted in a 0-0 tie to finish WHAC regular season play.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Six players would finish with 2 shots with Rhiannon Holmes leading the way with 2 shots on goal. 
• The Crusaders led in shots 15-5.
• Nelson finished with 6 saves for Lawrence Tech.  

UP NEXT:

Madonna will travel to Lawrence Tech on Wednesday, November 1st to open WHAC tournament play. Kick-off time is to be determined.
