SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Fifth seeded Madonna women's soccer saw its season come to an end on Wednesday night in the WHAC Tournament Quarterfinals. The fourth seeded Lawrence Tech Blue Devils came away with the 3-0 victory over Madonna. The Crusaders finish their season with a 9-8-2 overall record and 6-4-1 mark in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Just 53 seconds into the match, Jenny Dear put the host Blue Devils on top 1-0. It remained that way until the 31st minute, when Hannah Pagent added insurance to make it 2-0. LTU took their 2-0 lead into the halftime break, despite Madonna holding a 7-4 advantage in shots. 

The Crusaders tried to get back in the match in the second half, but the Blue Devils scored again in the 47th minute to go up 3-0. Madonna outshot LTU in the final 45 minutes, but failed to find the back of the net. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• Veronica Kozak made one save for the Crusaders. 
• Molly Cote led Madonna with four shots. 
• Madonna outshot LTU 14-6.
