LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 to the University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday. The loss drops the Crusaders to 8-6-1 overall and 5-3 in WHAC play, while the Racers improve to 9-4-2 and 6-1-1 in conference. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

UNOH jumped on Madonna just two minutes into the game with a goal to go ahead 1-0. In the 24th minute, Vivian Purmonen added insurance for the Racers, before the final goal for UNOH was scored late in the first half. UNOH took a 3-0 halftime lead and held a 7-3 advantage in shots. 

The Crusaders held the Racers scoreless in the second half until the 78th minute. Ashley Wilson was fouled in the box and buried home the penalty shot to make it 4-0. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 

• The final shot total ended up being 10-7 in favor of UNOH. 
• Rhiannon Holmes took two shots for Madonna. 
• Mackenzie Fifer made one save in goal for the Crusaders.
