LIVONIA, Mich. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced on Monday that Abby Werthman was named the WHAC Offensive Player of the Week for her performance on Saturday. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Madonna University women's soccer team opened their season last Saturday with a 2-1 win over Point Park University. The Crusaders would get two second half goals from junior forward Abby Werthman to help propel them to victory. 

UP NEXT

Werthamn and the Crusaders will return to the pitch on Friday, September 2nd when they travel to Crestview Hills, Ky. to play the University of Pikeville at 3:00 p.m.
