ADRIAN, Mich.-- Madonna University's Women's Soccer team was back in action as they were on the road against Siena Heights University (Mich.) and ended up tying 0-0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

This was a tough defensive battle and both team's goalies came to play. Alex Thomas was tested early in the first half, four minutes into the game the Saints had a shot and went off the post. Thomas was tested three more times and came away with the saves. 

Madonna's offense was attacking early as well. Ten minutes into the game, Grace Thomas had an opportunity but the Saints keeper was able to save it. 

In the second half, the Crusaders upped their game it seemed. Only allowing one shot on goal, giving Thomas help in goal. Their offense picked up as well, having five shots on goal versus their one in the first half. However, this was not enough and this one was headed to overtime.

This is the Crusaders' second straight overtime match and they were hoping for the same result as last game. Both teams came out of overtime strong as in the first three minutes they both traded shots and both goalies came up with the saves. Two minutes later the Saints had another opportunity and Thomas shut that down with yet another save. 

In the second overtime period, the Crusader's defense stepped up when they needed to and did not allow another shot on goal. The Crusaders had one last opportunity to get a goal as Julieann White at the 104:09 mark, as she took a shot and the Saints goalie denied it and came away with her eighth save. The time tick down to zeros, and this one ends in a 0-0 tie.
