LIVONIA, Mich.-- Madonna University's Men's Soccer team continued Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play Wednesday afternoon as they hosted Lourdes University (Ohio) defeating them 2-0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Crusaders came out firing as they had three shots and three corner kicks within the first 20 minutes of the game. In the 20th minute as well the Crusaders had a great opportunity in the box, Ryota Nakajima had his shot blocked but Issei Ito was able to find the back of the net as he put it in the upper left corner and made it 1-0.

The Crusaders kept their foot on the gas pedal, before you could blink  Andres Felipe Gomez played a beautiful through ball for a streaking Alexander Zaleczny. Zaleczny beat his only defender and shot it perfectly in the bottom right corner to go up 2-0 in the 22nd minute. 

The second half was remotely quiet as both team's defenses showed up. The Crusader's defense only allowed one shot on goal in the second half and Youssou Oueendeno took care of it easily.

UP NEXT 

The Crusaders will return to action this Saturday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. as they hit the road against Siena Heights (Mich.) at O'Laughlin Stadium.
