LIVONIA, Mich.-- The Madonna University Football team and Head Coach Brian Foos have finalized adjustments to the football schedule set to kick off in February of 2021.

All Madonna competitions will observe COVID guidelines as put forth by Madonna University and the CDC, locals, state and federal government.

The Mid-States Football Association-only regular-season schedule is set to begin February 27 and continue through April 10. The Crusaders will host three home games and four away contests through the amended, seven-game schedule.

Madonna will first head to Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 27 to do battle with Saint Francis University (Ind.). The Cougars finished No. 11 in the final 2019 rankings returning nine of 16 MSFA East League All-Conference selections.

The Crusaders will then return to Livonia for its first-ever home game on March 6 in a historical matchup with third-year program Lawrence Technical University as the Blue Devils come off their first year of NAIA competition. LTU's lone win out of a 1-9 record came at home against NCAA Division III Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Madonna will then head on the road for three-straight weeks starting on March 13 in Upland, Indiana against the Taylor University Trojans as they return from a 3-6, 2019 finish.

MU follows up with a pair of road trips against two MSFA teams ranked in the final 2019 rankings. A date with Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan on March 20 and a final road game against Concordia University (Mich.) in Ann Arbor round out the travel schedule as the Crusaders look to take down the No. 20 and No. 12 teams from the NAIA last year, respectively.

Two more ranked opponents land in Livonia for the final two weeks of the Crusaders' inaugural season starting with Marian University (Ind.) on April 3. The Knights are coming off a 12-1 campaign and a national runner-up finish at the hands of No. 1 Morningside (Iowa) finishing at the No. 2 position.

The Crusaders' final homestand will come on April 10 as it welcomes the Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats, fresh off a 6-4 record in 2019 with a near-upset of NCAA Division I Butler University in overtime. This is also the third year for IWU, appearing in the Top 25 in 2019 and finishing with receiving votes in the final rankings.

Information on ticket policies and game times will be released at a later date.
