JOLLIET, Ill. - The Madonna University women's soccer team stopped in Jolliet, Ill. for the last game of their weekend trip. They faced off against St. Francis (Ill.) as they won the match by a score of 3-0. The Crusaders improve their record to 3-1-1 while the Fighting Saints fall to 0-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Crusaders set the offensive tone early as Grace Thomas was able to put in the first score of the day as she got the rebound off of a missed shot from a corner kick
• The remainder of the first half saw the Crusaders fire off many more shots
• The second half started with the Madonna being able to get off a multiple shots
• In the 61st minute Destiny got a pass from Megan Verant and was able to put the ball into the other side of the net opposite the goalie
• Later in the 77th minute, Madison Fecay received a cross from Julieann White and was able to get it past the goalie for her first goal of the season
• Brooke Bruletti and Alex Thomas combined to get the shutout for the second shutout of the season for the Crusaders

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Crusaders dominated the shot column as they outshot the Wolves 21-12with also leading shot on goal with 14-7
• Carr's and Fecay's goal's today were both the first of their young Crusader career
• The Blue and Gold are now 1-0 against the Wolves. 
• Ten total Crusaders tallied a shot in the contest
