HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The second half started much quicker than the first when in the 50th minute Grace Thomas got a ball on the outside from Karina Arnold and was able to sneak it past the keeper.
  • Within the next 15 minutes the Crusaders four more goals in the back of the net. Megan Verant was able to get one past the goalie from five yards out in the 54th minute.
  • Thomas scored again in the 58th minute as she was able to beat the keeper to the far side once again. Jenni Simmons broke away from the defense in the 61st minute to get her first goal on the season.
  • Sierra Nissan was able to get her first goal of the season and the game in the 66th minute when she received a pass from Sydnie Voss. Her second goal came in the 82nd minute when she got a short pass from Verant to the middle of the field that she put past the keeper.
  • The final goal of the day came from Verant once again as she beat the keeper to the far side of the net.
