MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The eleventh-ranked Madonna University men's soccer team traveled to Mishawaka, Ind. to take on the Pilots of Bethel University and after a physical match they left with a 0-0 tie. The Crusaders are now 3-1-2, while the Pilots improve to 2-4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The first half was a lot of back and forth as both teams got their fair share of shots in.
• The second half was the same as the first half as neither team was able to get a shot into the net
• The Crusaders had a shot that narrowly went wide in the final two minutes of regulation from Issei Ito
• Joe Smith recorded six saves on the day on his way to his fourth shutout of the season

INSIDE THE BOX

• The Blue and Gold were outshot by Bethel 13-12 and 9-5 in shots on goal 
• Six total Crusaders rattled off shots on the Pilots, with Rodrigo Castro De Siquiera and Ito leading the group with three apiece

• The Crusaders will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, Sep. 28 when they host Lawrence Technological University for the first conference match of the season on Homecoming Weekend
