ADRIAN, Mich.– The Madonna University women's soccer team kicked off the WHAC Tournament as they traveled to Siena Heights to take on the Saints. The Crusaders were not only looking to advance to the Conference Semifinals but were also sitting at 249 program victories. By the end of the night the Crusaders had advanced and collected win number 250. The Crusaders held onto a 2-0 win for the majority of the second half.

The Crusaders advance to face off against the Racers of University of Northwestern Ohio who beat Lourdes by a score of 5-1. The Crusaders improve to a 13-5-1 record on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Crusaders set the offensive tone early as they had multiple chances in the first half.

  • The Blue and Gold didn't wait long into the second half to extend the lead in the 48th minute Cristina Moraccini was able to get a ball past the goal for the 2-0 lead
