LIVONIA, Mich.  -  The third-seeded Madonna University Men's Soccer team is set to compete for a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship against the top-seeded Warriors from Indiana Tech University on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 12 PM.

The Crusaders will be looking for their first WHAC Tournament title since 2011 when they won the tournament with the fifth seed. On the other hand the Warriors last tournament title came in 2009 when they were the two seed and won the tournament

SERIES HISTORY

• The series history between the two teams goes back to 1998 when the Crusaders won 20 out of the first 24 games played between the two teams with the total record at 23-8-4
• The last time these two teams faced in the tournament in 2016 with the end result being a 4-2 Warrior victory
• The Warriors won the meeting earlier this season by a score of 2-1, despite the Crusaders outshooting the Warriors 22-8
• The Crusaders last victory was in 2017 with a 3-1 win

HOW THEY GOT HERE

MADONNA
Madonna finished the season in the number three seed after an 11-3-3 regular season record and an 8-2-1 conference record. They advanced to the Championship game after two hard-fought 1-0 victories against Concordia University - Ann Arbor and the University of Northwestern Ohio. 

The Crusaders will be looking for their seventh tournament title after wins in 1998, 2001- 02, 2004, 2008, 2011.

INDIANA TECH
The Warriors ended the season and earned the top-seed in the tournament and received an automatic bid into the opening round of the NAIA tournament after a 13-4-1 regular season record and a 10-0-1 conference record. They battled through some tough games against the University of Michigan-Dearborn and Lawrence Tech. 

The Warriors will be looking for only their second tournament title with the only other title coming in 2009.
