University Field
The home to Crusader softball since the 1990s, University Field went under a complete reconstruction in the summer and fall of 2012 to feature a fully synthetic turf surface that allows for play in all weather conditions. The AstroTurf surface covers the entire playing surface as well as all of foul ground.
The artificial surface was one of the first installed in the state of Michigan for a collegiate softball field and is just one of a handful nationwide that is completely synthetic, requiring less maintenance for its upkeep than a traditional grass and dirt field would.Â
With dimensions of 200 down each foul line and 220 to straight away centerfield
