Shapic and Gurne both recorded their second NAIA Automatic Qualifying times at the Saginaw Valley State University Jet's Pizza Invitational over the weekend. The pair both hit the mark in the 5000m as Shapic finished second with a time of 18:09.78, the ninth-fastest in the NAIA, while Gurne placed third with a time of 18:17.30, the 13th fastest mark in the NAIA. Both qualified in the 3000m earlier this season.
