Murphy, a junior from Canton, was apart of the Madonna's first-ever National Championship that they captured a little over a week ago. Murphy was the top finisher for the Crusaders with a 14th place finish and a season-best time of 18:22.1. The Crusaders as a team won the title with 111 points and finished with 36 more than the runner up College of Idaho.
