Bassage, a sophomore, led the Crusaders to a 5-1 record on the week and the team’s first outright Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference title in nine years. The catcher from Beaverton hit a team-best .462 on the week in her return from injury. She recorded six hits with a double and a triple. She scored twice, her pinch runners scored five more times, and drove in a run. Madonna was 5-0 in the games she played and the pitchers had a 2.08 ERA over her 37 innings behind the plate.
