LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna Women's Soccer Team (2-4-1, 0-1 WHAC) started a four game road trip with a tough matchup against No. 9 Spring Arbor University (5-2-0, 0-0 Crossroads League). This is also the second of a tough three game stretch where the Crusaders are facing two ranked opponents and one receiving votes. The Crusaders would fall to the Cougars 6-0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Cougars came out quickly, scoring in the first three minutes of the game to make it a 1-0 game. The Crusaders were then able to hold off the Cougar attack for most of the first half until the Cougars would score again in the 37th minute to make it a 2-0 game heading into halftime. 

In the second half, the Crusaders continued to struggle offensively while the Cougars would score three goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half to take a quick 5-0 lead. The Crusaders would then hold off the attack of the Cougars until the 77th minute when the Cougars would score again to get to the final of 6-0.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Mackenzie Fifter finished with seven saves. 
• Molly Cote finished with two shots with one being on goal

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will head to Grand Rapids, Mich for their third of three tough matchups, this time taking on the No. 4 Saints of Aquinas College (4-0, 1-0 WHAC). Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 21st.
