Crusaders Advance to WHAC Tournament Final, Down Lourdes

LIVONIA, Mich. - The Madonna University women's soccer team advanced to the WHAC Tournament Final with a 2-0 victory over Lourdes University on Saturday afternoon from the Madonna Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Crusaders got the first goal of the game in the 11th minute when Sydnie Voss scored her third goal in two games off an assist by Morgan Stack. Later in the half, Voss assisted Holly McManus to make it 2-0 in the 28th minute.

Madonna was able to stay in front from there and earn the victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 
  • Brooke Bruletti made one save to earn the shutout. 
  • The Crusaders outshot the Gray Wolves 11-5. 
  • Madonna took two corner kicks while Lourdes had none. 

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to take on Aquinas College in the WHAC Tournament Final on Saturday, November 12th at 12:00 p.m.
