LIMA, Ohio– The Madonna University women's soccer team traveled to Ohio for their latest Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup against the Racers of University of Northwestern Ohio on Monday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The Racers dominated the offensive end throughout the first half as they were up six to two in the shot column before they scored in the 20th minute off of a corner kick.
• The second half the Crusaders were able to tie the game up in the 58th minute from 25 yards out on a ball from Abby Werthman. 
• UNOH would once again take the lead in the game when they would beat the Crusader goalie Alex Thomas to the opposite side of the net. 
• In the waning minutes of the match, Werthman had an opportunity on a free kick from about 10 yards outside of the goalie box as she made it into the bottom corner.
• In the extra period, UNOH had one of the better opportunities of the game in the 93rd minute, but the shot was blocked and went wide right. 
• About two minutes later the Racers were able to end the game with a golden goal in the 95th minute as Agnes Stefansdottir scored her second goal of the game. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Racers were able to dominate the shot column as they outshoot the Crusaders 21-9 and 10-7 in shots on goal. 
• Madonna goalie Thomas had seven saves throughout the game as the UNOH goalie tallied seven.
• Both teams took four corner shots throughout the afternoon.

• The Crusaders will return home to face off against the Grey Wolves of Lourdes University on Thursday, March 25 beginning with a 2PM kickoff.
