LIVONIA, Mich. - This is the fifth entry in the Madonna University athletics “Where Are They Now?” alumni feature being released each week to highlight what our student-athletes are doing in the world since graduation. See all of the features here. 

This week we caught up with the first pair of sisters to play with the Madonna University program, Anna Gatt and Jacqui Nielson (Gatt). Jacqui was a sports management graduate in 2008 and Anna graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Art in Graphic Design and an Associate of Science in computer science. 

Since graduating, Anna is a graphic media technician in Livonia and Jacqui coached college volleyball from 2008-18 and is now a stay at home mother to two children, a son and a daughter.

Jacqui was the libero for the Crusaders from 2004-2007. Her teams won four consecutive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and Tournament Championships, NAIA National Tournaments, and an NAIA National Championship Semifinal appearance in 2005.

Anna Gatt 9

Anna was a defensive specialist for the Blue and Gold from 2007-10. Her teams won a pair of WHAC regular season and tournament championships and a pair of NAIA National Tournament appearances. 

Enjoy it while you have it because it's over before you know it.
